Bench Garden
This1 is what part of our side yard looked like before we put in, what I like to call, the Bench Garden. As you can see, there is a Rose of Sharon bush on the left and a tree on the right, so it was difficult to mow this area.
So we connected the areas and made a place to sit.
The wooden structure around the bench was intended to help hold up the hydrangea that is growing next to the house, but it ended up being too small. So, of course, I had to find another use for it and this seemed like a good one to me.
It's also much easier to mow around this area now then it was before the bed was put in. I would like to edge the area to help keep the grass out, but I have not had time to do that yet.
All in all, I think this was a big improvement.
