Dottie works as a Customer Service/Administrative Assistant for a local filing system company and enjoys gardening, birdwatching, photography and crafts including mosaics and turning trash into treaure. Gary is Yard Manager for a local building supply company and enjoys woodworking, reading, and golf (when he has the time). They love going to flea markets and antique shows looking for interesting objects that can go in the gardens.
The main focus for the last few years has been to improve the landscaping at their home and 2008 will be no different. The main focus for 2008 will be to build a greenhouse out of recycled windows and to put a roof on the house. Hopefully they can also prepare some garden beds and vegetable beds so that they will be ready for planting next Spring. The current veggie beds had to be moved since the greenhouse is going in that spot. View progress on the Greenhouse here.
Last summer, Dottie joined an online plant co-op and has gotten some amazing deals on plants. She is concidering selling plants next year to help finance her plant addiction. |
