Recipe - Pork with Onion Gravy
This is a super easy and tasty pork dish that makes a great gravy to go over mashed potatoes or noodles.
Makes 4 Servings
- 4 pork chops
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- salt, pepper and garlic powder to season pork chops
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1-1/4 cup cold water
- 1/3 cup cream soup mix Click for recipe.
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Season chops with the salt, pepper and garlic powder. In a hot skillet with olive oil, brown the chops on medium high heat along with the onions, about 5 minutes per side.
Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, whisk together the water, cream soup mix, white pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Pour soup mixture over pork chops and reduce heat to medium. Simmer covered for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional 15 minutes until sauce is lightly brown and thickened.
