Castile Soap


Uses for Castile Soap

  • Makes an excellent body wash.
  • Repel roaches by mixing 1 tablespoon each of castile soap and hot sauce with 4 cups of water.  Spray in areas of the house where you have seen roaches.
  • Fill a water bottle with warm water, add a squirt of soap and a few drops of tea tree oil to make an all-purpose cleaner.

  • Clean rain barrels or birdbaths with 2 teaspoons each of vinegar and castile soap with a gallon of warm water; scrub with solution; rinse well and allow to dry before refilling.
  • Make homemade soft-scrub by mixing 3/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup castile soap, 1 tablespoon each of water and vinegar.
  • Clean leather with a castile soap mixed with a little water.
  • Use it as a lather for shaving.
  • Dilute with water to wash your pets, avoid eyes.
