Add a tablespoon of white sugar to a gallon of room temperature water before using it for cut flowers in a vase.
Make body and facial scrubs by adding a little olive oil, coconut oil, or jojoba oil to white or brown sugar. Check online for dozens of scrub recipes. Your skin will be very smooth.
Mix a handful of white sugar in garden soil when planting root vegetables to encourage good bacteria that fight harmful nematodes.
Rub hands with white sugar to remove grease, oil and dirt.
Kill cockroaches by mixing equal parts white sugar and baking powder. Sprinkle where you have seen cockroaches. They will eat it and die.
Have trouble getting a fire started? Sprinkle a little sugar on it.
Attract hummingbirds and Baltimore Orioles by mixing 1 part sugar with 4 parts boiling water. Dissolve sugar, allow to cool to room temperature, than pour into the appropriate feeder.
Mouth burning from spicy food? Sprinkle some sugar on your tongue. This also helps relieve pain from a burned tongue.
Clean coffee and spice grinders by grinding 1/4 cup white sugar for a few minutes.
Add sugar cubes to an air tight container to keep homemade cakes without frosting fresh.
Prevent cheese from molding by placing a few sugar cubes in the package or container with the cheese.
