Distilled White Vinegar


Uses for Distilled White Vinegar

  • Mix 50/50 with water for an all-purpose cleaner.
  • Discourage ants by spraying vinegar full strength around doorways and windows.
  • Kill weeds in driveways and walkways by pouring on at full strength; avoid using around plants as it will change the soil pH.
  • To preserve cut flowers mix 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1 tablespoon sugar with 1 quart of water.
  • Remove lime scale by soaking item in full strength vinegar.

  • Clean birdbaths and hummingbird feeders with full-strength vinegar.
  • Wash fresh fruits and vegetables with 1 tablespoon vinegar to 1 quart water.
  • Stop bug bites from itching by applying full strength vinegar with cotton ball.
  • Freshen wilted vegetables by soaking in water with a dash of vinegar.
  • Add a teaspoon of vinegar to water when boiling dark colored vegetables, it will help keep their color.
